Self-Care Will Make Others Uncomfortable.

“What? What do you mean me taking care of myself will make others uncomfortable?”

Hello, Maniacs! Coming at you with a short post today! I recently have had a lot of thoughts about the journey of self-care and what the difficulties were for me!

I often speak on the hard-fought battles within us when it comes to wanting to be better for ourselves, so in turn, we can be better for others. But did you know that there are people out there that hate the fact that you are striving for more? Oh yes, jealousy is a disease that can consume many people faster than any CDC documented one can.

When others see that you are in the process of transforming your life, they will–knowingly or unknowingly–do or say whatever they can to derail you before the train leaves the station. It’s the change that is scary for them, especially if they aren’t taking their journeys of self-care seriously as you are! I will be doing another post soon about the importance of having the right people around you because it is vital to your success! Can we push ourselves? With the right amount of vigor and discipline? Sure! But it is so much easier when you know that you have a support system in place ready to cheer you on every step of the way or to catch you when you feel like you can no longer stand up to the challenges that life presents us!

Don’t have a clue where to start with self-care? Here are some of many things you can start with!

Remember, self-care is not selfish! You must do everything you can to protect it. Without it, you could potentially become a detriment to yourself and to others. Everything works more efficiently when you are taking care of you!

That’s all I have for today! Love you guys! Take care of yourselves and be kind to each other! Chat with you about your inner circles soon! You’re only as good as the people you have around you.
