The Outlook Workout

Hey, Maniacs!
I hope you guys are doing well this week! I have a very short blog post coming at you that was sitting on my head this morning right before the yoga class that I participate in–because you really needed to know that.
I’ve thought a bit about optimistic people and how they are often misunderstood. I’ll explain below.
Straight To The Point
I think it’s very interesting that when you’re a person that everyone sees as positive, upright in your emotions and steady within your stability that they think you wake up like that. No, not in this day and age; negativity hits me left and right and it hits hard. How does one combat it? How does one smile through all the things that are supposed to destruct and demoralize their visions of what being a better person and a healthier person looks like, acts like, thinks like? Practice!
The Outlook Workout 1
Pretty self-explanatory! Out of the mouth of none other than the iconic Ru Paul!
When you workout, you are trying to build muscle and endurance by lifting against resistance—whether by means of weights or natural body balancing exercises challenging gravity. Why wouldn’t the same principles apply to emotional health as well? It takes work and many counteractive positive affirmations full of gratitude and appreciation to get you to be the best person you can be.
Outlook Workout 2
What you put in, you get out. I promise the work to become more positive in your daily walk will be more than worth it! It’ll serve you better than negativity ever will.
There will be days that you will moan, groan and not feel like it is worth the exhaustion of trying to be better, think better and see yourself in an uplifting light. Hang on, be strong, lean on those you can trust and realize that those smiling faces you see are enduring the same battles to keep smiling, to keep being kind amongst the tumultuous environment that life offers us just as you are. It takes work and don’t you ever think it doesn’t. Will you put in the work? I think you should. Why? Because it’s worth it and you are more than deserving of it!
Affirmations That I Use To Fight Negative Ones
-I MATTER
-I AM DOING THE BEST I CAN WITH WHAT I HAVE
-I AM ENOUGH
-I AM LOVED
-I AM WORTHY OF LOVE and DESERVE THE BEST THINGS THAT LIFE HAS TO OFFER!
Remember: Gaining a new perspective on your life and making real change within it takes work. You can do this and so can I in small steps each and every single day.

Love Y’all! Be kind to yourself and be kind to others this week!
—CAM ❤️
